The singer announced the happy news on Instagram while celebrating her 31st birthday on Tuesday.

Ciara shared a photo which showed Russell tenderly rubbing her stomach as they nuzzled into each other.

‘On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give,’ she wrote.

Russell shared the same photo with the caption: ‘The Greatest Blessing of All. Forever Grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay.’

Ciara and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, 27, remained celibate until they were married in England on July 6, 2016 after a year of dating.

The Goodies hit-maker was previously engaged to rapper Future from October 2013 to August 2014, and the pair share two-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn.

Rumours that Ciara was pregnant again have been swirling over the past week, after she was seen sporting loose-fitting outfits on multiple occasions.

After their English nuptials, Ciara and Russell weren’t shy when it came to bragging about their steamy wedding night.

The following day, Ciara cheekily let fans know with a wink and a nudge that she’d had a great time the night before.

‘Baby, you know what we’re doing tonight,’ she said in a Snapchat video, before Russell chimed in: ‘From what we did last night, I want to do it multiple times.’

Ciara then added to the camera: ‘He sure weren’t lying.’

Speaking about their decision to abstain from sex until marriage during an interview with Cosmopolitan in February, Ciara confessed: ‘It’s going pretty good. We’re hanging in there.

‘I’m not gonna lie. I’m human, so it is not easy, especially when I look at him and I think he is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen — that I’ve ever laid my eyes on, to be honest. I’m like, “Look the other way! Look the other way!”‘

She went on: ‘But he’s such an awesome guy and the cool thing is that every day, we’re growing with each other. We get to have really healthy conversations and focus on each other as people.

‘That is very important to me and him. It’s very valuable. We’re just enjoying ourselves and going one day at a time and praying and staying positive. Being strong here!’

Ciara and Russell have made no secret of their desire to expand their family.

Last year, the I Bet singer told People that she ‘definitely’ wants more children, adding: ‘[Russell and I] discuss a lot of things … a lot of good things!’

And after their wedding, the NFL star echoed the same sentiment when he told E!: ‘Down the road, I would obviously [want kids].

‘She does too and hopefully, god willing, as long as they’re healthy, that’s what we pray for and whether it’s a boy or girl, who knows but we’ve got some time for that.’

However he added that they weren’t in a rush to start a family, revealing: ‘She’s making her music right now and I’m playing my sports and hosting shows so we’re pretty busy.’
