According to reports, Taylor Swift achieved another historic feat by selling over 800,000 copies of her new “Eras Tour Book” over its opening weekend. Apparently, the only other publication that had a bigger launch was former U.S. President Barack Obama’s “A Promised Land” memoir.
The clincher, however, is that Swift’s new book was launched exclusively at Target on Black Friday, whereas Obama’s book was sold in all major bookstores across the country, per AP News.
Some of Swift’s closest friends, however, did not need to line up at Target to get their copy. This was exactly the case for Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late, great Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who flexed her special gift from the “Fortnight” singer via Instagram on Wednesday.
Bryant also sent a two-word message to Swift for the wonderful gesture by adding a “Thank you” GIF to her photo.
Not only did Vanessa Bryant receive her copy of the book, but she even got a personalized note from Swift herself. While it might be too difficult to read the letter from Bryant’s post, it appears that it’s the same handwritten message that Swift included in her gift for Ava Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt.
The Hunts have been gracious hosts to Swift whenever she comes to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, and the 34-year-old pop sensation made sure to give them some love back in her own little way.
In the note to Hunt, Swift wrote that she wanted to share her best memories with “a few friends.” The multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter also noted that she hopes that everyone who gets to read her book “enjoy this journey through the memories of my proudest moments.”
In August last year, Bryant and her second-youngest daughter Bianka Bryant caught the “Eras Tour” stop in LA’s SoFi Stadium. In fact, Bianka Bryant was even part of the show, as Swift gifted her a hat during her performance of the song “22.”
The Bryants were part of her “Eras Tour” journey, and Swift has now made their experience extra special by gifting them a tangible memory on paper.
