Travis Kelce recently took a moment to express his gratitude for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, during a new episode of his podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.
On November 27th, the Kelsey brothers released their latest podcast, where the conversation turned to Thanksgiving plans and, of course, Taylor’s thoughtful gestures toward Travis and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
Jason Kelce kicked things off by mentioning his plans to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family, excited by the joy of having a new family member.
He then turned to Travis and asked if he had any special plans for the holiday. Travis, with a smile in his voice, shared that he and Taylor would be spending Thanksgiving in Kansas City, along with their mom, Donna.
Jason asked, “So, what about Taylor? Is she excited about Thanksgiving?” Travis chuckled and responded, “Oh, she’s really excited about it, especially since it’s her 35th birthday coming up. A lot of big things happening in December for her.” Jason teased, “Oh, so you definitely have some kind of plan, huh?” To which Travis replied with a laugh, “Of course, dude.” The Kelsey brothers both laughed, clearly in high spirits.
The conversation shifted to the topic of Taylor’s homemade baked goods, as Jason gave a shout-out to Taylor’s famous homemade Pop-Tarts. Jason praised Taylor’s Pop-Tarts, saying, “It’s Kylie’s favorite, and I love them too.” Travis added with a laugh, “Yes, some of my teammates also love the special taste of that cake. It’s rich and fragrant. Thanks, baby, for the sweet cakes.” Jason, playfully wanting a taste, added, “Hey, dude, if there’s a next time, let me try a small piece of that cake.” The Kelsey brothers laughed joyfully together.
On November 26th, Chiefs’ defensive backs coach David Merritt Sr. shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing off the homemade Pop-Tarts Taylor had baked after the Chiefs’ victory against the Carolina Panthers. The photo featured a box of the baked treats, decorated with white icing and sprinkles. A handwritten note from Taylor read, “Victory Pop-Tarts. Congratulations, love, Taylor.” Merritt humorously revealed that his wife, Yolanda, informed him that Taylor had been sending these sweet treats to multiple people throughout the season, making him feel a little less special. Merritt joked, “Yolanda said she’s done it all season for different people, Dave. I thought I was special.”
Taylor’s thoughtful gestures have won over many, with her baking skills gaining attention from various NFL players. Former NFL player Bernie Kosar also shared a heartwarming story in December 2023, recalling how Taylor brought homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis as a pregame meal. “We’re having a pregame meal, and Taylor is so nice—she comes in by herself and is so cool. She brings her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis,” he said.
As the holiday season approaches, it’s clear that Taylor’s kindness and care extend beyond her relationship with Travis, as she continues to show her support and warmth to those in his life, including his teammates and coaches.
