San Francisco 49ers WAG Kristin Juszczyk has praised Taylor Swift for taking her career as a clothing designer to a new level.
Swift wore a Travis Kelce-themed ’87’ puffer jacket to a brutally cold Chiefs playoff game against Miami Dolphins in January. Temperatures plunged to -20 and some fans at Arrowhead Stadium even suffered frost bite.
The singer’s jacket had been designed by Juszczyk, the wife of 49ers fullback Kyle, and as the Swifties discovered where her jacket was from it propeled Juszczyk’s career skyward.
She told Page Six: ‘She single-handedly changed my career. I feel like I owe her everything, truly.
‘It was such a pinch-me moment seeing her wear something of mine, and it just completely changed the trajectory of everything that I was doing. She opened up so many doors for me. And she looked amazing!’
Juszczyk also designed a ’15’ jacket for Brittany Mahomes to wear at the same game last season.
Since that game, Juszczyk has signed a licensing deal with the NFL and designed other pieces for stars such as Caitlin Clark and Olivia Dunne.
‘My husband’s been so fortunate to have such a long career in the NFL, and I just got really sick of having the same three or four pieces in rotation,’ Juszczyk said about how she began designing clothes.
‘We had a box of Kyle’s merch, so I just kind of got inspired to start cutting [T-shirts] up and see what I could make out of them.
The first thing I ever made for a game day was actually a pair of patchwork sweatpants. Looking back now, they are so bad, but I was so proud of them.’
Ironically, the 49ers ended up losing the Super Bowl to the Chiefs last season in Las Vegas.
This season, the 49ers are 2-2 ahead of Sunday’s game against Arizona Cardinals.
The Chiefs, meanwhile are 4-0 and face New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night.
