The San Francisco 49ers defeated the New England Patriots 30-13 on Sunday afternoon. One of the three touchdowns they scored came from tight end George Kittle, who caught a pass from Brock Purdy in the second quarter.
And from the stands, his wife Claire was enjoying the action. On Monday, she posted a monochrome picture of herself, fullback Kyle Juszczyk’s wife Kristin and wide receiver/returner Trent Taylor’s wife Sarah celebrating after the game.
“Game days with you two (heart emoji),” Claire wrote on Instagram.
Another 49ers woman who was seen cheering for the team on Sunday was Sydney Warner, the wife of linebacker Fred Warner. A few hours after the game, she posted some images of her with their son Beau Anthony, who was born this March via Caesarean section:
The next day, she posed a “before and after” comparison video, with the latter being from Sunday when the entire family got together on the field:
Warner also scored a touchdown early in the second quarter of that game, intercepting Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett and returning it 45 yards to the end zone. However, he also sustained an apparent ankle injury that left him questionable for the second half – which he eventually played.
“I would have been out there if I could have been. We’ll see as we get more information on it.
“It was all based off feel. It takes a lot for me to tap out, right? If I could have been out there, I would have been. We’ll get more information as we go with scans and all that. But I couldn’t (play) right now.”
Warner is listed as day-to-day for practices ahead of next week’s game vs. the Arizona Cardinals and will not have any long-term issues.
Coach Kyle Shanahan said:
“Anything that says ‘day-to-day,’ just when you don’t know that the night before, we always definitely feel better when it says ‘day-to-day.’ If it’s a high-ankle sprain or anything like that, you know that’s always some time. I know he’s hurting today and stuff, but from the reports and everything, when we say ‘day-to-day,’ that gives him a chance to heal up this week.”
The 49ers vs. Cardinals game kickoffs at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, and it will air on Fox.
