Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown looks on during the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles on October 16, 2022 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA (Image via IMAGO)
AJ Brown was left frustrated after the Philadelphia Eagles recorded just one win in their last seven games following a 10-1 start to the 2023 season. Not only that, the Eagles fell short in the wild card round at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With another disappointing ending to a campaign, analysts and the media speculated that Brown wasn’t particularly happy in Philadelphia. However, he pointed his finger back, accusing them of spreading false information.
Brown recently dialed into the local Philadelphia 94WIP Radio Station and confronted the afternoon drive hosts, Ike Reese and Jack Fritz. The three-time Pro Bowler stated that being a Philly establishment, they should be defending the time and not making things up.
Why make up so many rumors? Most of the rumors aren’t even real rumors. These are rumors that you guys are making up.Brown told Reese
The Eagles’ turmoil has led rumors to flare that the 26-year-old may look for another place where he would have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl. Brown had the best stats of any receiver in the franchise’s history over the last two seasons. Since his 2022 trade from the Tennessee Titans, he has registered 2,952 receiving yards, 194 receptions, and 18 touchdowns.
AJ Brown dismissed his exit rumors
The wild card exit wasn’t a great sign for the Eagles, especially for head coach Nick Sirianni, who was rumored to have lost the dressing room. Brown denied any rift in the locker room.
