San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey has emerged as the surprise buyer of George Clooney’s Los Angeles estate.
It was reported last week that the Hollywood A-Lister had sold his Los Angeles estate, previously profiled by DailyMail.com, for $14.5 million.
The 63-year-old filmmaker gave up his six bedroom Studio City mansion, which once belonged to Stevie Nicks, earlier this month after owning it for almost 30 years but the new owners of the Fryman Canyon home had remained a mystery until now.
McCaffrey and his former Miss Universe wife Olivia Culpo have been revealed as the buyers who forked over the cash to take the stunning mansion off Clooney’s hands, according to TMZ.
The star running back and Culpo tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island back in June and now appear to have closed in on their forever home.
The couple started dating in 2019, and he popped the question while on vacation in 2023.
Culpo previously joked that she would ‘rip her IUD out’ on her wedding night as she’s ready to begin a family with McCaffrey immediately.
And now, the high-profile couple appear to have found the perfect property to raise a large family.
The sprawling abode boasts 7,000 sq ft, has a main house and multiple guest houses, a tennis court, and pool on a 3.1 acre plot.
Per the publication, longtime Hollywood leading man Clooney hosted many soirees there throughout the last 29 years.
After meeting and marrying wife of ten years Amal Clooney, the sprawling home became the ‘private oasis’ where they have been raising their seven-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, as described by Amal in a 2018 Vogue interview.
Per TMZ, the residence is hidden behind trees, which afforded the family isolation.
The longtime couple also own homes in Italy, France and New York, making for a colorful real estate portfolio.
Culpo and McCaffrey exchanged their vows in front of friends and family, including his 49ers teammates, in a dreamy oceanside chapel only a stone’s throw from Taylor Swift ‘s sprawling Watch Hill mansion.
The former pageant queen looked radiant in a Dolce & Gabbana crepe ball gown, which featured a crew neck, long sleeves and buttons down the back.
She spoke to Vogue about her decision to wear a full-coverage dress while saying ‘I do’ to the running back.
‘I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape or form,’ Culpo explained.
‘I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complementing me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity,’ she added.
‘When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered and elegant.’
