Jackson Mahomes won over a Chiefs fan for how he helped others during Wednesday’s horrific shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.
“I don’t care what anyone says but I have found a new found respect for Jackson Mahomes,” X user @jess6mami posted Wednesday. “Ana and I were stuck hiding with him at union station by the trains and he was taking care of a child who lost his parents and helping him calm down.”
Randi Mahomes, mother to Jackson and three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, quoted tweeted that response with a heart.
The original poster replied to that tweet: “Hope the kiddo was able to be reunited with his family! ️ tell Jackson we say thank you!”
Randi then closed the loop with a response on X: “What a scary unthinkable day.. thankful you all were together for those moments. As i mom i want to thank you. Jackson was able to get the child to the police for help. Blessings to you.”
Jackson’s kind act will surely not be forgotten by those who witness it in what was an otherwise harrowing day for the Kansas City community.
