Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt and his wife, Dani Rhodes, are awfully close to having their first child together.
T.J. and Dani went on their babymoon during Pittsburgh’s bye week. She shared a few photos from their trip on Instagram along with the caption, “Soaking it all in.” Unsurprisingly, the former professional soccer player showed off her baby bump.
For those unfamiliar with Rhodes and Watt’s story, they met when thy were students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They were both athletes for the Badgers. In 2022, they got married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“When I was a little girl I never thought I’d find someone special enough to ever change my last name… But I found him and couldn’t be happier to share a name with the man of my dreams,” Rhodes said after the wedding.
Rhodes and Watt announced in September that they’re expecting a baby. As you’d expect, they received countless responses from Pittsburgh fans.
Before Watt can officially get ready for fatherhood, he’ll have to lace up his cleats for a Thursday night showdown against the Cleveland Browns.
Watt, the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, is having another productive season with the Steelers. In 10 games, he has racked up 36 tackles, 18 quarterback hits, 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. Last month, he became the second-fastest player in league history to record 100 career sacks.
It wouldn’t surprise us at all if Watt makes a game-changing play this evening against the Browns.
